My oldest son broke up with his girlfriend, but my youngest son is very attached to her. What should I do?
My oldest son, seventeen, has been with his girlfriend for three years. She was at our house every day. She picked my sons up, took Jason, who is two, to day care and my oldest son to school, and she stays at our house on Saturdays. Veronica is Jason’s favorite person in the world. He, like all children, can be stubborn at times, but when he is she can always get him to do whatever it is he doesn’t want to. If he doesn’t want to have dinner, she asks him to sit on her lap and tells him how good the food is, and he’ll eat of her plate. He is freaking out now that he doesn’t get to see her. Ever since my son broke up with her, nearly every thing he has said has had something to do with "Aunt V". We saw her at Walmart today, but I was with both of my sons, so we couldn’t go and talk to her. Jason started screaming about how he wanted Aunt V and everyone was staring at us. He is taking it very badly, and I don’t know what to do. I never expected this to happen, my son and his ex were quite serious. I still don’t know why they broke up, but every time I have seen Veronica since then she has been crying. My son is quiet and easily aggravated and doesn’t eat as much as he should. They had plans for college, marriage and children. I am pretty sad about this too, she is the first girlfriend my son has had that I’ve liked. Off topic, sorry. But, I don’t know what to do about Jason. He refuses to sleep eat or bathe, and screams loudly if we try to get him to. He is also quite mean to his brother, because he knows that it’s his fault. What can I do about this? It is very stressful and I don’t know what to do.
I believe that aunt V should come over and be a babysitter. Or Jason should have a picture of her by his bed.

CHRISTIANS: HOW DO YOU IGNORE THIS?
God’s Plan of Salvation
In today’s world, there are a mixed bag of opinions about what someone must do to be saved, according to the bible’s plan. Some would say, just believe in God and you will be saved. Others would say, you just have to be a good person and you will be saved. Let’s see what the bible says.
John 3:5-8
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
The bible very clearly states what you must do to be born again.
1. Repentance
Luke 13:3
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish
Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand
Mark 6:12
And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
2 Corinthians 7:10
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
Acts 20:21
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ
2. Baptism in Jesus’ Name
Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Romans 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Acts 8:16
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Colossians 2:12
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Acts 2:37-38
37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
3. Receive The Holy Ghost
Acts 2:1-4
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Mark 16:17
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Isaiah 28:11
For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
So should we only take one scripture or just one phrase and just say that one is more important than all the others?
Of course not.
2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
We should put all the scriptures together to find out the plan of salvation or anything else for that matter.
You need to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus, and receive the Holy Ghost. Am I saying that if you don’t do these things your going to Hell? No, but the bible does, and I strongly believe what the bible says.
Now let me ask you this question..
What will you do?
tl;dr

I’m going to laugh at this. Then I’ll be sad that people believe in this fairy tale and are willing to kill other people because their fairy tale is the wrong version.

I ignore it because it simply takes out of context things that were written in scripture and puts conditions on salvation. That makes salvation a matter of works, not grace. Jesus preached God’s Grace, not man’s need to accomplish works.
Jesus said "whosoever believes in him (Jesus) shall not perish." He didn’t say "whosoever believes in him and completes these other tasks …"
Your assertion that we should "put all the scriptures together" smacks of some sort of gnostic special knowledge, an attempt to "decode" what God really meant. This too is unBiblical.

Don’t you know how I got these scars?
My father was a drinker and a fiend, and one night he goes off crazier than usual. Mommy gets the kitchen knife to defend herself, he doesn’t like that, not one bit. So he comes at me with the knife, laughing as he does, and he says, "WHY SO SERIOUS!?" Sticks the blade in my mouth, "WHY SO SERIOUSSSS?!" Then he tells me, "Lets put a smile on that FACE!" …… Soooooo, why so serious?

I wouldn’t ignore it.

easily. not bother to read anything that long winded and move on to the next question.
miss chams | Nov 14, 2009
Christians do NOT ignore it. If they did they would not be Christians.
There are many who call themselves Christians who ignore much of what you say but they are deluded.
Believing in God is not enough. Most religions believe in God and so does Satan. In fact he knows him better than we do in some ways.
There is one thing which separates Christians from any of the other religious persuasion and that is Jesus. If we have not accepted Him as our Saviour, believed that He died for our sakes and took all punishment due to us (and thanked Him for doing so) we are not Christians. Attending church is not enough, just believing in a God is not enough, reading our bible is not enough. Christ has to be head our household, Lord of our lives.
Frankie | Nov 14, 2009
I don’t understand the question. Are you atheist? Cause then that question would make more sense. Christians believe in repentance. Believing in God and that He sent His only Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins, then accepting Him into our hearts, is repentance. If you believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and you accept Him, then your saying, I know I’m a sinner and I know you can cleanse me of those sins that you died for. Therefore, isn’t that repentance?
RD | Nov 14, 2009
Your attempt at discouraging the beliefs of people trying to live a good life through Christianity has been completely thwarted by your sheer stupidity…
You sir, have epically FAILED…
Now let me ask you this question…
What will you do?
D.Russell | Nov 14, 2009
make your point and stop beating around the bush..
Jimmy | Nov 14, 2009
I have repented my sins and became a true believer in Christ Jesus, my Lord. You don’t have to become "baptized" to become saved. It just shows that you have made the decision to follow Christ. It doesn’t save you.
Riley | Nov 14, 2009
I have already already done this and I am trying to grow in faith by reading and studying the Bible, watching inspirational television and going to church. My life is so different and fulfilling now.
Blessings
Bible Predicts better than Mayan | Nov 14, 2009
I will live the best life i can and help others and pray to Jesus to forgive me and believe in him till my time on this earth is over. Then on my death bed I will ask for forgiveness again and say my prays as I pass away. If you read more, you will find that our God is a forgiving God and I think some sins are worse than others. Such as murder, greed, and worship of false Gods, but that’s my opinion, and No-one will know until that day that they die. That’s why everyone has different beliefs. Worry if your being the best person you can be and treating people the way you would like to be treated.
